Pharmacist resume example
Pharmacist resumes are credentialed and setting-specific at the same time. PharmD, state license, and board certifications (BCPS, BCACP, BCOP) go directly under your name — recruiters screen on these before reading anything else. Then setting: retail/community, hospital inpatient, ambulatory clinic, managed care, industry, or specialty (oncology, infectious disease, pediatrics). Each has different volume norms and clinical-intervention expectations. Avoid 'dedicated pharmacist' phrasing — every applicant has it.
How to write a strong pharmacist resume
- 1Credentials directly after your name: 'Jamie Park, PharmD, BCPS'. State license state + number on the line below.
- 2State setting + Rx volume: 'Retail pharmacist, independent community pharmacy, 350 Rx/day' or 'Clinical pharmacist, 540-bed tertiary hospital, ICU rotation'.
- 3Name the EHR and pharmacy system: Epic, Cerner, Meditech (hospital); PioneerRx, QS/1, Liberty, McKesson (retail).
- 4Quantify clinical interventions: MTM consults, vaccinations administered, pharmacokinetics consults, discharge-med reconciliations. These are the calibratable scope signals for pharmacist work.
- 5Board certifications (BCPS, BCACP, BCOP, BCPP, BCCCP, BCGP) get their own section with year earned. They often determine eligibility for specific roles.
