Dear Dr. Patel,
I'm applying for the Clinical Dental Hygienist position at Pacific Family Dental. I'm a licensed RDH in Washington (#HG12345, active since 2019) with Local Anesthesia endorsement and current BLS, and for the last four years I've been a clinical hygienist at a 4-provider DSO general practice in Bellevue — a patient mix and daily cadence that closely matches the Pacific posting.
My day-to-day is 10-12 patients per shift across recalls (60 minutes), SRPs (45-minute quadrants), and perio-maintenance in Dentrix with Dexis digital radiography. Over the last two years I led a periodontal program rollout that moved perio-maintenance enrollment from 21% to 38% and lifted SRP case acceptance from 62% to 81% after rebuilding the hygiene-to-restorative handoff. I also built a block-scheduling template that cut the hygiene department's no-show rate from 14% to 6% across two offices. I'm comfortable with ND:YAG laser decontamination, nitrous monitoring, and precepting — I oriented two new-grad hygienists in 2024 and both are still with the practice.
Pacific Family Dental's reputation for family-focused preventive care and the team's emphasis on hygiene-driven case acceptance are the specific reasons I'd like to make the move. I'd be particularly excited to contribute to the perio program and to the recall pipeline, where my current work transfers cleanly.
Could we schedule a working-interview day at your convenience? I'd welcome the chance to see the office flow and meet the team.
Respectfully, Alex Kim, RDH Washington License #HG12345
