I'm applying for the Operations Director role at Chewy's fulfillment network. I currently run a four-site fulfillment operation ($62M P&L, 240 FTE across three states), and I raised on-time shipping from 91% to 98.2% over three quarters through changes to receiving, slotting, and carrier mix.
My last two years have been a steady campaign against operational slack: led a Lean rollout across seven production lines that reduced changeover time 38% and unlocked $2.1M in annualized capacity; owned safety for the 180-person warehouse (TRIR dropped from 4.2 to 1.7 in 18 months); and rebuilt scheduling to cut overtime spend 22% while holding SLA flat. I hold a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (2022) and am finishing Black Belt coursework this quarter.
Chewy's fulfillment network is one of the most studied e-commerce operations in the country, and the opportunities to improve at that scale are more interesting than anywhere else I could make the move. I'd be particularly excited to work on throughput programs at specific DCs where my multi-site experience would transfer.
