Dear Creative Director,
My portfolio is at alex-morgan.design, and the most relevant case study for the Brand Designer role at Notion is the Series-B fintech rebrand that opens it — delivered in six weeks and adopted across 40+ touchpoints.
Recent work I'm proud of: I led the brand refresh above (logo system, type scale, web component kit); designed packaging for three SKUs in a CPG launch that sold its first national run of 2.1M units at Target; built a Figma component library now used daily by a five-person product team (ad-hoc design requests dropped 70%); and shipped 18 editorial illustrations for a national magazine over 2023-2024. My tools stack is Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects for motion; I work in design systems when the team has one and build the minimum one when it doesn't.
Notion's recent brand moves (the new iconography system, the editorial-grade documentation content, the minimalist marketing site) feel like someone has already done the hard work of defining the visual language — which is the kind of house to join if you want to push craft rather than rebuild basics. I'd love to contribute on product marketing surfaces and the template ecosystem.
Could we schedule a portfolio walkthrough? I'd love to talk through the Series-B rebrand project in more detail and hear about your current brand roadmap.
Warmly, Alex Morgan
